Lives and works in Greer, SC

My undergraduate work was completed at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania where I received my BFA in metalsmithing and ceramics with a K-12 certification. I have taught and exhibited work in New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Next year will be my 8th year teaching and I am honored to have accepted a position teaching high school ceramics with Greenville County Schools.

Research and learning are at the forefront of my creative process. I am not content with repetition without growth and it is this love for exploration that I aim to instill in my students. My art is an ongoing discovery and exploration of new concepts, methods, and materials. As such, I tend to work across any variety of mediums with a strong focus in ceramics and metalsmithing. My current work combines altered thrown vessels with copper electroforming. These pieces are inspired by my observations of how people have responded to the recent Covid-19 pandemic and where it has left us as we begin to emerge from it’s hold on the world. I look forward to further exploring the possibilities of combining ceramics and metalsmithing in future works and I hope to share my own recent learning with my future students.
